A maps component is quite useful for those applications that need to locate an address or position. VivoWare has integrated the Google Maps into VivoSocial. During a submission, you can search for the location's logitude and lattitude. When you submit, those values are saved and a map is presented to the user when viewing the item. Directions are also provided by clicking on the pinpoint. See the example below.
