Hi, These questions are about creation of events.
Is it possible to control the behaviour of an indexitem field (City) so that it can be controlled by a dropdownlist box? I want to control the available cities and only allow a predefined list. The other alternative I can see is to create a new custom field for it. Is that the best way?
Is it possible for me to add a similar dropdownlist box, to the search directory module so that this can predefine the searchdirectory results? Again I am thinking of limiting results to a specific location. Alternatively I am thinking of using a form to interogate the Venexus_braindump table to create a list of cities and then invoke searchdirectory is this feasible or is there a better way?
I also notice in the new version of searchdirectory that there is a new tick box "Enable Events". Can you advise please what this box does please?
Thanks, Mike

1. No, not at this time
2. Yes, location is a url parameter, so you can use it to filter.
3. This is if you are going to use the Events template. This will display items even though the start date is in the future, otherwise it would not be displayed.
