VivoSocial is a flexible application to suit your needs.

At its core, VivoSocial utilizes the .Net architecture. All data is stored in a SQL Server database, and supports OpenId, LiveId, and Active Directory authorization. With webfarming support. it is possible to distribute the load over multiple servers for maximum performance.

While not VivoSocial is not open source, the DotNetNuke framework is. And, all modules included in VivoSocial are 100% templatable.
